【摘要】:1.1Thispracticecoversthedeterminationofstrengthvaluesforclearwoodofdifferentspeciesintheunseasonedcondition,unadjustedforenduse,applicabletotheestablishmentofworkingstressesfordifferentsolidwoodproductssuchaslumber,laminatedwood,plywood,androundtimbers.Presentedare:1.1.1Proceduresbywhichtestvaluesobtainedonsmallclearspecimensmaybecombinedwithdensitydatafromextensiveforestsurveystomakethemmorerepresentative,1.1.2Guidelinesfortheinterpretationofthedataintermsofassignedvaluesforcombinationsofspeciesorregionaldivisionswithinaspeciestomeetspecialmarketingneeds,and1.1.3Informationbasictothetranslationoftheclearwoodvaluesintoworkingstressesfordifferentsolidwoodproductsfordifferentenduses.1.1.4Forspecieswheredensitysurveydataarenotasyetavailableforthere-evaluationofaveragestrengthproperties,thepresentlyavailabledatafromtestsmadeunderthesamplingmethodsandproceduresofTestMethodsD143orPracticeE105areprovidedwithappropriateprovisionfortheirapplicationanduse.Becauseofthecomprehensivemannerinwhichthedensitysurveyisundertaken,itfollowsthatthere-evaluatedstrengthdataareintendedtoberepresentativeoftheforeststand,orratherlargeforestsubdivisions.1.1.5Someusefulmechanicalproperties(tensilestrengthsparallelandperpendiculartograinandmodulusofrigidityforalongitudinal-transverseplane)havenotbeenextensivelyevaluated.Methodsaredescribedforestimatingthesepropertiesbytheirrelationtootherproperties.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
