【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscovertheconstructionandperformance,exclusiveofperformanceduringfiretests,ofportablewaterbasedagentfireextinguishers.ThesefireextinguishersareintendedtobeutilizedinaccordancewiththeStandardforPortableFireExtinguishers,NFPA10andwiththeNationalFireCodeofCanada.1.2TherequirementsforperformanceduringfiretestingofwaterbasedagentfireextinguishersarespecifiedintheBinationalStandardforRatingandFireTestingofFireExtinguishers,ANSI/UL711CAN/ULC-S508.1.3Asusedintheserequirements,theterm"extinguisher"referstoallextinguishersoranypartthereofcoveredbytheserequirements,unlessspecificallynotedotherwise.ThisneweditionofANSI/UL8CAN/ULC-S554isabinationalstandardthathasbeenharmonizedwiththerequirementsofCanada.Thiseditionincludesatitlechange,anexpansionofthestandardscopetospecifyCanadianinstallationrequirements,reorganizedandrenumberedrequirements,andtheadditionofoperatinginstructionspictographstothemarkingsection.
