适用范围
本标准规定：a.五类规程：①０类：简单类；②１类：基本差错恢复类；③２类：复用类；④３类：差错恢复和复用类；⑤４类：差错检测和恢复类。这五类规程是为从一个运输实体向对等运输实体传送面向连接的数据和控制信息规定的。B.协商运输实体使用的规程类的方法；c.用于传送数据和控制信息的运输协议数据单的结构和编码。各规程从下列几个方面来定义：a.对等运输实体间通过交换运输协议数据单进行的交互；b.在同一系统中，运输实体和运输服务用户之间通过交换运输服务原语进行的交互；c.运输实体和网络服务提供者之间通过交换网络服务原语进行的交互。这些规程适用于支持ＯＳＩ参考模型运输层的以及希望在一个开放系统环境中互连的系统间通信的实例。本标准还规定了对于实现这些规程的系统的一致性要求，但它并不包含能用来验证这种一致性的测试。
