【摘要】:Thethicknessofacoatingisoftencriticaltoitsperformance.Formostnonferrouscoatingsonsteel,themagneticmethodisreliableformeasuringcoatingthicknessnondestructivelyandissuitableforspecificationacceptancetestingandSPC/SQCapplications.Thetestmethodrequiresthatthemagneticpropertiesofthesubstrateusedduringthecalibrationbethesameasthatofthetestspecimen.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheuseofmagneticinstrumentsforthenondestructivemeasurementofthethicknessofnonmagneticcoatingsoverferrousorothermagneticbasemetals.Note18212;Autocatalyticallydepositednickel-phosphorusalloyscontainingmorethan8%phosphorusaresufficientlynonmagnetictobemeasuredbythistestmethod,aslongasthemeasurementismadepriortoanyheattreatment.1.2Theseinstrumentsmeasureeitherthemagneticattractionbetweenamagnetandthebasismetal,asinfluencedbythepresenceofthecoating,orthereluctanceofamagnetic-fluxpathpassingthroughthecoatingandthebasismetal.1.3MeasurementsmadeinaccordancewiththistestmethodwillbeincompliancewiththerequirementsofISOInternationalStandard2178asprintedin1982.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
